Established by PR expert and journalist Lisa Llewellyn in 2001, Llewellyn Communications develops and implements creative communications strategies designed to build reputation, enhance credibility and improve business performance in diverse markets across Australia and New Zealand.

Our clients include major international companies and brands to smaller specialist businesses in market sectors ranging from healthcare, financial services and consumer products, to property and manufacturing. All receive the same focus on creativity, backed up by a commitment to results.

We provide a more cost-effective alternative to mainstream agencies. Only senior consultants work on the business – not just in front of the client, but in the engine room as well. And as a result, we make sure we’re passionate about the organisations we work with. We also draw on a diverse skill base of experienced consultants who come together on projects as required.

Lisa Llewellyn
Managing Director and Principal

Lisa started her career as a journalist before moving into magazine editing and public relations. From handling PR for blue-chip Australian brands, media management for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Torch Relay, to working with small but unique businesses, Lisa has a broad range of experience spanning three decades.

Opening Llewellyn Communications in 2001 was ‘a real game changer’ for Lisa, and she hasn’t looked back since – she thrives on the buzz that comes after achieving fantastic coverage for her clients.

Lisa loves the sun and surf, and spends her weekends running after her crazy pooches and enjoying a glass of red wine with roast pork belly on her balcony.

Veda is a communication specialist with more than 25 years experience as a freelance journalist, copywriter, magazine editor, publicist and photographer. Initially specialising in the lifestyle sector – travel, retail, health, wellness, luxury resorts, landscape design, swimming pools, to name a few – Veda moved into custom publishing where she worked on a variety of specialty publications for News Custom Media, Intermedia, Morrison Media, Derwent Howard Publishing, and Australian Regional Media (APN).

Since 2010, Veda has created compelling content for a number of key Llewellyn Communications clients, producing everything from media releases and newsletter articles to case studies and social media strategies.

When she’s not on deadline, Veda can be found on the 77-acre, Byron Bay hinterland property she shares with her family, two kelpies, three geese, and an alarming amount of snakes.

Gabi Selwyn
Senior Consultant

Gabi is a multi-sector public relations consultant with experience in corporate affairs, stakeholder management, investor relations, change management, employee and community engagement.

With more than 20 years’ background in the UK and Australasian markets, Gabi has worked across corporate, government, insurance, finance and banking, FMCG and retail sectors. With agency and in-house experience she has shared her expertise with clients big, small and niche including Telstra, NAB, Woolworths, IAG Insurance, GlaxoSmithKline, BP, Fonterra, The Queensland Government, Cordbank and the NZ Blind Foundation.

She has a passion for compelling content and is known for developing and implementing brand strategies that engage the hearts and minds of employees, create value for customers and deliver profitable growth for stakeholders.

When Gabi is not strategising or wordsmithing you will find her on the tennis court, kicking a soccer ball with her son or watching comedy because she subscribes to the ‘a laugh a day keep the doctor away’ school of thought.

Lauren Trucksess
Social Media / Content Consultant

Lauren is an experienced communications consultant who has led integrated social media, content and PR campaigns for some of the world’s best-known B2B and B2C brands as well as many emerging start-ups.

There are a lot of self-titled ‘experts’ out there when it comes to social media and content marketing but Lauren considers herself more of an enthusiast! She loves helping brands connect in new ways that drive real business results. Her portfolio includes technology leaders such as IBM and VMware, consumer powerhouses such as Beats by Dr Dre and WeChat and fast-moving innovators like Expert360, Slingshot and Nexba.

Lauren is a former TV news producer and video journalist with a sharp eye for storytelling. Now, she is bringing her passion for social media and content marketing as well as her strategy, content creation, video production, analytics and media relations skills to a diverse base of brands.

Lauren actually spent a year working as a kindergarten teacher in Seoul, South Korea. She loves travelling (she’s visited 7 new countries in 2017 so far!) and enjoys getting outdoors and trying new activities and adventures.

Belinda is passionate about PR and thrives on bringing cost-effective solutions to clients that are tangible, measurable and deliver bottom line results. With a strong belief in optimising client satisfaction through enhanced communication and teamwork, Belinda goes above and beyond to achieve results.

Affectionately known as Bill to the rest of the team, Belinda was awarded Sydney Business Woman of the Year finalist in 2003 and worked with the communications team for a supplier for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

A super fit mum of three, Belinda is always full of energy and positivity and knows how to pep up the rest of the team.

Gayle Bryant
Content Creator

Gayle has worked as a freelance journalist, editor and copywriter since the mid-1980s. She specialises in business and technology issues and her work has appeared in newspapers and magazines such as the Australian Financial Review, The Australian, BRW Magazine, Asset, the Sydney Morning Herald, as well as in a wide range of industry press such as Lawyers Weekly, Charter, In The Black, Medical Observer, Insurance and Risk Professional, Real Estate Journal and Connexus.

Gayle has also written for a number of business and property websites and edited and written for custom magazines for major financial institutions, including Macquarie Group, Aon Insurance, TD Waterhouse, Resi Mortgage and the big four banks. She has a keen eye for detail having worked as a sub-editor for the Australian Financial Review, Good Weekend magazine and Saxo Bank’s trading website, Trading Floor. In addition, Gayle has written for a wide range of government and corporate clients producing newsletters, case studies and booklets, and most recently has written white papers, video scripts, thought leadership articles and speeches for several accounting and technology companies.

When Gayle isn’t wordsmithing, you can find her walking – whether it’s the Camino Trail(s) in Spain and Portugal, the Grand Traverse in New Zealand, the Bay of Fires in Tasmania, the Cape to Cape in WA, or just around the harbour foreshores near where she lives. When she’s not walking, Gayle sings in a covers band, entertaining crowds around Sydney’s northern beaches area.

Tim Bradley
Cinematographer / Stills Photographer

With over 20 years’ experience as a cameraman and cinematographer and stills photographer, Tim has an eye for images – so he knows how to make this media work for our clients.

Whether it’s a TVC, video news release, corporate video, media training or documentary, Tim’s extensive know-how across all kinds of video and stills work means top quality product every time.

He names shooting the Sydney 2000 Olympic Torch Relay documentary as his proudest career moment, and has also worked with names such as Qantas, Woolworths, Flight Centre, KFC, Optus and Microsoft, as well as personality Michelle Bridges on her 12WBT video series.

Tim regularly wins over the ladies of the office by bringing afternoon tea and fixing computer troubles.

Rory is usually the first at work every morning and the last to leave. She makes sure everything is running smoothly.
